Miscellania a fast-paced experimental music venue and nightclub located in Naarm's CBD.
The space is highly community focused and houses an array of versatile events centering queer underground music and arts culture.

- someone who is motivated and excited about the development of the venue and who is focused on and committed to furthering its success. The venue manager will work closely with the owners and with the support of the bar supervisors + bookings team. They must be confident with the ability to train and manage people and must have demonstrated business and financial management skills.
We are open Wednesday to Sunday, hosting experimental, ambient, dance music, poetry, theatre, experimental film, pop-up food and day parties.
The role:
Managing a team of approx 20 bar & glass staff
Looking after general operations FOH and BOH
Manage rosters, ordering, stocktake, wage and operational costs including employee productivity and performance
Cash up, cash handling and reporting
Develop, drive and maintain standards and training/systems
Work together with bar supervisors to create an evolving menu
Maintain operational, admin and POS/Eftpos systems
Thorough and regular investigation into stock/takings loss
Wednesday-Sunday rotating roster

Highly motivated

Excellent interpersonal and management of people skills
An openness to learn and take on criticism
A strong drive to create a healthy working culture where staff want to be
Able to work efficiently and quickly
Able to create organised and flowing working structures and delegate effectively
Comfortable with high stimuli environments
Experience:
2 years operational/management experience in a relevant role
Demonstrated success in planning and managing a venue
Proven efficiency working within/compiling budgets, forecasting and cogs
Experience in dealing with OHS and HR and liquor licensing
Proficiency in using/troubleshooting POS systems
Proficiency in troubleshooting and setting up sound systems/music equipment
Base salary package negotiable according to experiance
Total remuneration will inlude base salary + performance targeted bonuses assesed on a regular basis
4-5 days, full time hours
