- Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements
- Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems for a wide range of commodities
- Plan, execute and analyse bench-scale and pilot-plant metallurgical testwork programs to support process designs
- Prepare process engineering deliverables and technical reports
- Ensure process designs meet required safety standards and actively participate in design reviews
- Prior industry experience with varied base metal and mineral commodities such as nickel, cobalt, copper, lithium and rare earths would be highly regarded
- Tertiary Qualifications in Chemical, Metallurgy or equivalent from recognised institution
- Technical knowledge of process plant design exposed to brownfield sustaining capital work projects
- Exposure to working on site
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with metallurgical balancing and simulation software such as SysCAD and/or METSIM would be highly regarded, not essential as can be trained
- Current Valid Australian working rights

Wood is currently seeking Process Engineers (site-based) to meet the large demand in critical metals projects in our Perth Mining & Minerals group. This role is a secondment opportunity and would suit process engineers looking to gain site-based experience in a metal / minerals processing facility. Wood is at the forefront of engineering solutions for a net zero future. As industries shift to lower carbon technologies to address climate change, demand is expected to increase for mined materials needed to power our modern world. Wood is currently delivering critical minerals projects globally including nickel, cobalt, copper, lithium, vanadium and rare-earth projects. Wood is currently seeking Process Engineers (site-based) to join our Perth operations. This role is site based South of Perth, with flexibility to work in office supporting our client in brownfield packages from a design and project engineering focus. Contract or permanent options are available for consideration.
