Software Engineering Manager (Software Integration, cloud platforms and DevOps)

About role

Our client is after an exceptional
Software Engineering Manager/ Intergration Manager who will be assisting on multiple development opportunities associated within the space domain from ground based through to space-based capabilities.

Significant software under development will require coordination across these projects including coordination and facilitation of software architectures to support both cloud based and on-premises development solutions.

**Responsibilities: - Provide technical leadership to the Space team, and internal and external stakeholders in the areas of software integration, cloud platforms and DevOps

Manage and maintain the Space Domain cloud platform, ensuring that design and implementation are in alignment with risk evaluations and policy guidelines
Discuss and agree upon the scope, design and implementation for software integration and deployment of Space Domains projects in consultation with the team
Maintain technical documentation relating to the Space Domain software integration process and cloud platform
Lead the deployment of Space Domain software in support of trials and demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders
Facilitate the integration of Space Domain software with third party software
Discuss and agree upon the scope, design and implementation for Space AMS integration in consultation with the Space AMS Dev Group technical community

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office will be considered for this role.

You must have:

Proven experience in Integration of software components and COTS software
Experience management and deployment of cloud services
Hands on experience in Cloud security practice, control implementation and compliance
Knowledge and experience in DevOps processes and toolchains
Tertiary qualifications in systems engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline
Experience in the software integration of complex software projects
Demonstrated understanding of the lifecycle of large software development projects

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
