Test Analyst, PaTH Program/DCJ

  • Temporary Full-Time up to 12 months
  • Location: Parramatta
  • Clerk Grade 9/10, Salary ($120,859 pa $133,183pa), plus employer s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role


Identify, analyse and facilitate improvements to business systems, processes and workflows aligned with the overall business and strategic requirements and the Department s operational plans.


What you ll do

Key accountabilities

  • Design tools and implement processes to identify, analyse and facilitate improvements to business systems, processes and workflows aligned with the overall business unit requirements and the Department s operational plans.
  • Coordinate and undertake research and analysis of best practice on processes and activities to ensure the internal and external services under the PaTH Program are delivered efficiently, and business outcomes are measured and reported as required and systemic and emerging risks are promptly identified.
  • Review the business unit s strategies to enable DCJ to deliver services in a costeffective manner and to position DCJ to meet current and future requirements.
  • Provide proactive and evidencebased advice and reports to the Director and/or the Executive Director to ensure the proposed solution considers the business requirements, identifies change impacts, and considers the sustainability of the recommended solution.
  • Research and prepare advice in the form of briefs, policy, and discussion papers in response to PaTH governance forum and PaTH leadership requests.
  • Liaise and work across Business Process Owners and Cluster Transformation Leads to ensure effective interface between program development, planning, service design and policy implementation.
  • Work effectively with team members towards mutual continued development and provide feedback and advice on research and analysis undertaken.
  • Support deployment team implementation through provision of detailed process documentation, first level data mapping to support data migration to new taxonomies, and validation of test scope and scenarios.

What we re looking for

  • Work with the test lead and analysts to develop test scenarios and scripts to ensure that the solution is adequately tested
  • Perform positive and negative testing of the solution and provide feedback on both configuration and data
  • Document test results and perform retesting to close out the open defects.
  • Support business testers during user acceptance testing.
  • Support the test lead in scheduling the testing, providing support to the business, setting up test data and test users to ensure a smooth testing experience.
  • Provide support on QM4 reporting testing and setup and testing of workflows.
