We are looking for a Scrum Master who will be able to use various agile frameworks to lead and facilitate self-organising and hard-working teams to plan and deliver change initiatives.

This is an opportunity to increase the maturity of an existing team and scale up to lead multiple teams involving complex interdependencies with other projects/initiatives and external parties.


What you will do:

  • Facilitate the establishment of frameworks, practices, and processes to deliver high quality and timely outcomes to meet the current and future needs of the Bank.
  • Facilitate Scrum and interScrum team activities based on established frameworks, practices and processes and improve their adoption to evolve into high performing Scrum teams.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution within the team and with stakeholders external to the Scrum teams.
  • Identify stakeholders and assist in development of appropriate communication plans and complete relevant activities to ensure necessary levels of engagement are maintained throughout the life of the project.
  • Incorporate learnings from previous projects, and identify, promote, and share best practices and standards with other teams to continuously enhance the effectiveness and maturity of the Bank's Project Management Framework for Agile projects.
  • Identify, participate in, and enhance risk and issue management practices ensuring timely escalations.
Your Background


To be successful in role, you will have.- Understanding of Agile methodology, values, principles, and procedures.- Knowledge of Agile practices: Scrum, XP, Kanban etc.- Knowledge of various leadership styles and facilitation techniques, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency.- Demonstrated experience in the use of Agile techniques as a Scrum team member.- Direct experience in one or more aspects of projects involving Software design/development, Technical or Business Architecture, Project Management, Business Analysis and Testing.- Experience in dealing with external service providers and vendors in a project environment.- Understanding of Banking, Financial Services and Financial Markets systems, standards, technologies, services, and operations.- Experience in using specialist tools and software which enables or supports adoption of Agile practices.


Qualifications:


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • First and or Second Level Scrum Master Certification and or Scrum Product owner will be highly regarded.
Your team


You will be part of the broader Financial Markets Business Support Services team that supports the Bank's investment and trading operations in International and Domestic Markets and will be reporting to Scrum Master Lead.
