About the role

We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Preparation, analysis and testing of specimens and/or assays
Perform designated testing procedures as outlined in methods and procedures, ensuring adherence to NPAAC/NATA ISO15189 requirements.
Participation in internal and external quality assurance programs.
Participation in continuing education.
Liaise with internal and/ or external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessary
Collaborate with clinical laboratory members to in develop, validate and implement genomic assays into a diagnostic setting, as per NPAAC/NATA ISO15189 requirements.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
A Bachelor of Science or an equivalent qualification.
Experience in a diagnostic laboratory is desirable.
A high level of attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Able to work as part of a collaborative team and contribute to team performance.
Knowledge of quality assurance systems and scientific instrumentation and equipment
Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety processes and procedures
