About the role

  • We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Preparation, analysis and testing of specimens and/or assays
  • Perform designated testing procedures as outlined in methods and procedures, ensuring adherence to NPAAC/NATA ISO15189 requirements.
  • Participation in internal and external quality assurance programs.
  • Participation in continuing education.
  • Liaise with internal and/ or external stakeholders (referring practitioners) regarding test results or referrals as necessary
  • Collaborate with clinical laboratory members to in develop, validate and implement genomic assays into a diagnostic setting, as per NPAAC/NATA ISO15189 requirements.

About you

  • To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
  • A Bachelor of Science or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a diagnostic laboratory is desirable.
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Able to work as part of a collaborative team and contribute to team performance.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems and scientific instrumentation and equipment
  • Awareness of Workplace Health and Safety processes and procedures
