About the role

As Supervisor (Construction) you will be part of the Works and Field Services team, and will be responsible for managing resources, both human/plant/equipment and movement of materials for an internal construction team associated with nominated capital works projects.

The position is accountable for the safe and effectively delivery of nominated internal delivery capital projects.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and ensure skilled civil and/or municipal construction and maintenance activities are undertaken to Council Standards, Australian Standards or Australian Quality Framework performance standards (as is appropriate).
  • Undertake site inspections/audits to determine compliance with methodology, Master Schedule, Environment and Safety controls, including assessment of methodology effectiveness.
  • Organise and coordinate an internal work group team to ensure the delivery of nominated capital works projects in strict accordance with established procedures, practices, and specifications.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
  • Current "C" Class Driver Licence.
  • General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card.
  • Certificate 4 in civil construction, or evidence of equivalent demonstrated civil construction knowledge and experience covering the Key Responsibilities outlined in Item
  • Preemployment medical will be required for this role (including drug and alcohol testing).

This is a permanent fulltime Grade 20 position with a salary package commencing at $70,961 plus superannuation of up to 12%.
