Who are we looking for?


Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a casual Administrative Assistant to join the School of Psychology and Counselling, Faculty of Health, Academic Division to support the Resourceful Adolescent Programs.

The Resourceful Adolescent Programs (RAP) were developed to build resilience and promote positive mental health in teenagers. The programs specifically aim to prevent teenage depression and related difficulties.

RAP aims to increase the psychological resilience or resourcefulness of young people and draws on research of successful treatments for adolescent depression and the known psychosocial risk and protective factors at the individual, family and school level.

The RAP office at QUT, Kelvin Grove campus, coordinates all RAP activities and research. It is responsible for the dissemination of the programs and for maintaining the integrity of the programs.

The main duties required of the role are:

  • Filling and invoicing orders assembling and packaging materials, arranging mailroom pick up, organising client payments
  • Maintenance of Microsoft Access databases


  • Customer liaison

  • Updating facilitator records and sending accreditation information, telephone enquiries
  • Stock control
  • Event organisation organising "in house" Brisbane and interstate training events
  • Maintenance of training event records
  • Training events whiteboard, training database and web calendar
  • Filing
  • General Correspondence
  • General assistance to Office Manager

  • Education, training and or relevant experience equivalent to completion of an associate diploma level qualification in conjunction with relevant work related experience.

  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and high volume tasks efficiently within the context of competing priorities.
