WHAT YOU'LL DO:


Reporting to the Human Resources (HR) Director for Australia & New Zealand, the HR Advisor provides thought leadership, policy implementation, and practical people support to the Consulting Team, with a strong focus on health and wellbeing.

This role is also responsible for delivering key HR projects and activities.


YOU'RE GOOD AT:


HR Strategy Implementation

  • Support the HR Director to implement HR strategy for the consulting team, including driving change initiatives to build engagement; developing and drafting key people policies (e.g. on flexibility, parental leave, wellbeing support) and supporting general projects across a range of people topics
  • Based on engagement with consulting team, identify any potential trends / systemic challenges, and identify potential innovations / evolution in our people model, processes or policies to address these

Case Management/Employee Support for consulting team members

  • Support staff and leaders in navigating BCG policies and procedures spanning the employee lifecycle, including parental leave, flexible work arrangements, leave of absence and all other peoplerelated policies which impact our clientfacing teams; serve as the first line of enquiry for clientfacing team members
  • Manage workplace relations and wellbeing issues through to resolution; engaging key stakeholders to ensure support to employees and leaders
  • Manage employee requests for parental leave, flexible work arrangements, leave of absence and other longer term leave requests. Responsibilities include support for employees in navigating requests, managing senior stakeholder alignment and approvals, as well as tracking/monitoring uptake and periodic reviews
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of current legislative frameworks to support advice and recommended actions in managing issues as they arise
  • Partner with the business to provide creative people solutions across the people function to meet the nuanced and dynamic needs of our consulting teams
  • Manage data and regular reporting on parental leave, flexible work arrangements, illness, issue management, return to work

Health & Safety

  • Provide support for employees to ensure accessibility at work
  • Manage requests for ergonomic adjustments and broader adjustments related to mental health
  • Where relevant, management of workers compensation claims

General HR Responsibilities

  • Manage the departure process for consulting staff resignations; serve as first point of contact for exit discussions and departure logistics
  • Serveas key liaison point for MDP departures, navigating the local and global teams to ensure a smooth and positive departure process
  • Drive HR analytics and insights, including but not limited to parental leave and flexible working participation rates, attrition trends, exit themes, and more.
  • Serve as local thought partner for global and regional initiatives where relevant

Senior Advisor and Contractor management

  • Responsible for overseeing and orchestrating the Senior Advisor program, and managing our cohort of Senior Advisors, in partnership with the regional team
  • Advises business on contract resource solutions for short and medium term needs
  • Compiles data and insights for biannual Senior Advisor Review meetings

HRIS Management (Workday)

  • Ensure data integrity of Workday, data entry of HR processes, approvals and reporting
  • Act as a Superuser to support the local HR team in ensuring Workday is implemented effectively, troubleshoot issues that arise and support enhancements to meet the needs of the business on an ongoing basis Continue to rollout updates and ensure communication on these flow through to the ANZ team

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):


Experience

  • Demonstrated prior experience in a similar generalist HR role
  • Experience in a fastpaced professional services environment
  • Depth of experience in directly supporting wellbeing and other issues for clientfacing team members
  • Strong administration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience in database maintenance an advantage
  • WorkDay experience advantageous
