HSEQ Coordinator to join our team.

Brisbane Airport for our

The Role

The HSEQ Coordinator is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of BGIS Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) to:

  • Provide BGIS HSEQ expertise and ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations
  • Maintain WHS, environmental and client system compliance
  • Update website content on HSEQ processes, procedures and records
  • Manage internal HSEQ audits, Project WHS inspections, safety investigations and incident reporting
  • Contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly HSEQ reporting
  • Provide training and technical support as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Certificate IV in WHS
  • 1+ years' experience in an HSEQ Coordinator role or similar, and 3+ years in a construction, property management, facility management or trades role
  • Working knowledge of HSEQ management systems and standards including AS/NZS 4801 and AS/NZS ISO 1400
  • Proven experience conducting safety inspections
  • Ability to write reports, review safety documentation e.g. SWMS and safety plans, and issue work permits e.g. work at heights, hot works and confined space permits
  • Able to respond quickly to change and adopt an innovative and collaborative approach to safety management.
