The State Cinema, Café Bar, Bookstore, Angelika Bar and Rooftop Cinema is an award-winning boutique cinema complex located in vibrant North Hobart, and we're looking for an experienced Cafe Supervisor to join our team.

This is an exciting Senior position in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, suitable for hospitality pro's who take pleasure in delivering fine service (and fine coffee and wine) to a constant flow of cinema-goers and cafe regulars.

Alongside normal day-to-day Cafe and Cinema duties, our Cafe Supervisors:

• Run Cafe shifts, supervising staff and monitoring that safe and correct practices are carried out at all times
• Communicate effectively with Managers and between areas of the complex to ensure smooth operations
• Open and close the Café
• Manage daily and weekly stock ordering and levels
• Assist with product selection and pricing
• Train staff and monitor progress and performance
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance procedures and materials

Confident barista skills, a high level of attention to detail and at least 2 years' experience in a similar role is essential.

We are a 7-day-and-night-a-week business, so shifts vary across days/nights/weekends and public holidays, but we offer a lifestyle-friendly rotating roster that includes 2 out of 4 weekends off each month.

This position is 5 shifts per week, approximately hrs.
