Mechanical Draftsperson x - Wollongong Office
- 6 month temporary contract with view to extend
- PAYG or ABN
- ASAP start available***Due to continuing strong workload, an opportunity exists for an experienced
Mechanical Draftsperson to work from the office of a successful engineering consultancy in Wollongong.

Duties
- Detail layouts and individual parts from concepts provided by engineers or senior draftsmen
- Further develop initial concepts and layouts with guidance from an engineer
- Produce 2D and 3D models and technical drawings to meet design requirements and specifications
- Ensure final designs comply with relevant regulations and standards
- Have the ability to assess designs and problem solve
- Adhere to project timelines, deadlines and selfmanage
- Works independently on all work
Skills and Experience
- 3+ years' experience working as a mechanical design / drafter
- Diploma of Engineering Drafting (or strong trade / workshop background)
- Demonstrated intermediate knowledge with 3D & 2D CAD software
- Autodesk Inventor ESSENTIAL
- Good understanding of relevant technical drawing standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in written and reading English (language), able to effectively communicate
- The ability to follow directions from supervisors as well as work independently, as required.
