About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Environmental Advisor with a specialization in the mining and resources sector.

As an Environmental Advisor, you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and advising on environmental compliance and sustainability practices within mining and resources operations.

Your expertise will contribute to minimizing environmental impacts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting sustainable practices.

Key Criteria
Perform comprehensive environmental assessments to identify potential impacts of mining and resources activities on ecosystems, water resources, air quality, and biodiversity.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement environmental management plans that comply with relevant regulations, permits, and industry best practices.
Establish monitoring programs to track environmental performance, collect data, and analyze trends. Identify areas of concern and propose mitigation measures to minimize negative impacts.
Stay uptodate with environmental regulations, policies, and guidelines applicable to the mining and resources industry. Advise stakeholders on compliance requirements and assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
Regularly visit mining and resources sites to conduct inspections, audits, and compliance checks. Identify noncompliance issues and recommend corrective actions to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and Indigenous communities, to foster positive relationships, address concerns, and promote transparent communication regarding environmental matters.
Prepare accurate and timely reports on environmental performance, compliance, incidents, and mitigation measures. Provide data and analysis for internal and external reporting requirements.
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
Previous experience (minimum 3 years) as an Environmental Advisor or similar role in the mining and resources sector.
Experience in conducting environmental audits, inspections, and compliance checks
