ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Professional Football & Competitions, this Sydney-based role will support the advancement of Football Australia's Professional Football agenda through the development, management, implementation and evaluation of the Club Licensing Framework in Australia for AFC Club Competitions, the A-Leagues, the National Second Tier (NST) (when launched) and the National Premier Leagues (NPL).


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the implementation, expansion and evolution of Football Australia's Club Licensing Framework
  • Serve as a pointofcontact for Australian clubs, the Professional Leagues, Member Federations and AFC for Club Licensing Matters
  • Administer the AFC Club Licensing Administration System (CLAS)
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training and support for CLAS users
  • Assist with the drafting and finalisation of the Football Australia Club Licensing Regulations, including the criteria and core process
  • Review Club submissions and communicate regularly with Clubs regarding deadlines and requirements

ABOUT YOU

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:


  • At least 2 years of experience in sports or related industry
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Team player, ability to think through problems and achieve effective solutions, innovative and constantly seeking better ways of doing things
  • Excellent communicator, with ability to effectively deliver important information to diverse stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, high standards of integrity, ability to represent Football Australia's interests
  • Effective knowledge of IT and communication systems and platforms
  • Commitment to work as a member of a small team in a dynamic environment
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours
  • Working knowledge of the Australian and global football industry, football law and regulations will be an added advantage
  • University Degree required, with degree in sport management, business/administration or sportrelated field preferred

  • Working with children check (paid/ employee) or state
- based equivalent

  • Out of hours and weekend work as required
