About the role:
The Administrative Service Officers play an important role providing collaborative administrative support to a team of case managers, family dispute resolution practitioners and other staff within Victoria Legal Aid's (VLA's) busy Family Dispute Resolution Service, which helps families resolve their family law issues.
In this role you will provide a broad range of administrative support, including triaging client enquiries, providing referrals and information about VLA services, data entry, file management, coordination of appointments, conferences and documentation, and reception services.
About you:
- Demonstrated ability to provide complex, client focused services in way that respects confidentiality.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, meet timelines and manage pressure.
- Sound interpersonal skills and ability to work sensitively with our clients, including people who are socially and economically disadvantaged, people with a disability or mental illness, children, the elderly and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Strong problem solving and decisionmaking skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in providing administrative support ideally within a legal or social services environment, is highly desirable but not mandatory.
