Position Overview:

Baptcare is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded professional to join our team as a Strategy Manager.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping and implementing Baptcare's strategic initiatives and ensuring that our organization continues to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities.


The role calls for a strong understanding of vulnerable customer segments, Baptcare's operational capability, regulatory, industry and customer trends to make recommendations to Business leaders and the Executive Leadership Team on the execution of Baptcare's strategy into specific business units, projects and other contexts.

Reporting to the division's Executive General Manager, the role will lead the strategy function and will independently contribute, as well as lead small cross-functional teams for specific strategic initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive organisational strategy that aligns with Baptcare's mission, values, and long-term goals.


Strategic Analysis:

Conduct thorough research, environmental scans, and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the social and healthcare sectors.


Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, drive consensus, and ensure that the strategic plan is informed by diverse perspectives.


Strategy Execution:

Create and oversee the execution of detailed action plans that support the strategic goals, including KPIs, timelines, and resource allocation.


Reporting:

Prepare and present regular reports to the executive leadership team, board of directors, and other relevant stakeholders to communicate progress and results.


Workload Management:

Monitor and prioritise the incoming requests for strategy services, allocate work among the team and ensure the maintenance of the strategy materials portal for use by the Executive Leadership Team.


You will ideally bring the following:
Bachelor's degree in business, Management, Strategy, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) or relevant experience.

Proven experience in strategic planning, execution, and management, preferably in a healthcare, aged care or social services context.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams.

Familiarity with risk management and change management processes.

Understanding of the not-for-profit sector and its unique challenges is a plus.
