An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Sales Representative to join Thermo Fisher Scientific.

You will build annual and quarterly plans that will meet and exceed individual and revenue growth targets year on year and operate as part of a strong and highly motivated team.

For this you will be compensated with a competitive package based on a fixed base salary and quarterly commission.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Selling Contract Renewals for our instruments
  • Selling Out of Warranty contracts.
  • Upselling to existing contract customers
  • Generating new business from non-contract customers
  • Executing on Planned Promotions

As part of this role you would also be responsible for:
Working together with other Sales reps to drive the sales of contracts, upgrades and new business across ANZ. Bringing together competitor information to share with colleagues and positioning potential services our customers may need to be successful.


Developing and maintaining detailed customer/prospect records and ensuring the relevant sales tools reflect this information (e.g Sales Forecast & Territory Plan).

Accurately forecasting future business on a regular basis, or at the request of the Sales Manager. Starting negotiations early by planning activities well ahead and involving relevant colleagues.

Making the best use of sales tools to aid territory planning and ensuring that all necessary resources are used in order to close sales.


Skills/Experience:


  • Strong sales, communication and relationship building skills
  • Telephone sales experience could be an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and prioritize opportunities and develop sales forecasts
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Position details:

This is an office-based sales role and will report directly to the Regional Service Sales leader.
