Pegasus Care is a unique HR Consulting and Staffing Specialist for the Community Services Sector.

Established in 2002, we have a strong reputation as a leading provider in Disability and Youth Services, partnering with a range of government, not-for-profit and private organisations.

We currently have opportunities for Youth specialists to join our team as Casual workers.


We are looking for compassionate, empathic people with previous (+6 months) experience providing residential support to to support young people approximately 15 to 17 years old in residential care within our SIL programme.


Due to the nature of the role you will need to be capable of dealing with sometimes difficult situations as they arise in a professional manner.


Experience in managing Challenging Behaviour, knowledge of what is required under the Restrictive Practice guidelines, and experience in Mental Health are all highly regarded.


All successful applicants will be required to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week across a variety of shifts.


You will be genuinely interested in making a positive difference in the lives of Children & Young People in Out of Home Care and support them the develop independence.

All applicants must hold all of the following Essential Criteria for the role:

  • A completed Diploma in Youth Work or equivalent (for Youth Worker role)
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Clearance Check
  • A current National Police Check
  • A current First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • A current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Comprehensive Car Insurance and evidence of Vehicle registration
  • A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance and evidence of Registration
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
  • Completed NDIS Worker Induction Module
  • Quality, Safety & You
  • Completed Infection Control Training Certificate
  • COVID19

Job Types:
Part-time, Casual

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
$38.08 per hour
