We are seeking Community Disability Support Workers who are passionate and focused in facilitating and supporting people living with a disability in achieving individual goals, personal development and strengthening their existing skills, abilities, and confidence by accessing services operated by mecwacare.

What you bring:

Certificate IV in Disability or
Certificate III in Individual support with Disability component, along with 2 years' experience in Disability
Level 2 First Aid Certificate
NDIS Worker Screening
All applicants require a successful Police Check and comply with vaccination requirements.
Experience working with people with disabilities from diverse backgrounds.
A flexible and 'can do' attitude in assisting people with a disability to form and maintain meaningful relationships and connections within their communities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for networking with participants, families and the community sector;
A strong understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct and Best Practice Standards.
Current Victorian Driver's License to transport community participants to include community participation

Desirable:

Ability to manage and maintain daily observations and daily documentation
An understanding or a desire to learn the principles of personcentered planning and experience in transforming plans into actions.
