The WA
Project Management Business Group is involved in supporting our clients in the planning and delivery of significant facilities and infrastructure projects in Australia.
We provide Project Management, Design Management and Contract Administration services on major capital works facilities projects including National Projects for the Department of Defence and infrastructure projects in the Indian Ocean Territories for both Defence and the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.
In addition, we provide support to major projects in the transport sector in WA.Managing the design process and design teams for major capital works projects and working within our experienced Project Management Team, this position offers a great variety of projects and will see you involved in:
- Leading the technical work with the client, ensuring project technical risks are identified and handled
- Positioning as the interface management between technical fields/packages
- Supporting the Project Director and Project Manager in project financial, quality and delivery schedule matters
- Providing input to the budgeting process including forecasting resource requirements
- Providing leadership to the design team, in line with GHD's values
What you will bring to the team
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience on major capital works infrastructure projects
- At least 15 years experience in the design and delivery of major projects with experience in delivery of Defence Projects preferred
- A broad range of experience, including exposure to both consulting and contracting would be highly regarded
- Strong commercial skill, with an ability to identify and decisively handle project risks and opportunities as they arise
- Experience in the delivery of projects using 3D design tools and a detailed understanding of BIM processes and workflows is essential
- Leads and encourages others, able to make decisions and takes ownership; advises and holds others to account; provides support and inspiration to help others succeed
