FourQuarters is currently seeking an Investment Associate to join our clients Origination and Portfolio Risk Management Team, a team of highly qualified investment professionals with skills and experience covering origination, credit and financial analysis as well as portfolio risk management.
The Role - Investment Associate
As a key member of the group, you will be required to assist the Team's Investment Directors to identify, target and execute new investment opportunities and manage those relationships on an ongoing basis.
Specifically, the role requires the Investment Associate to work closely with the Investment Directors with regards to:- New Asset Origination, Industry & Sector Coverage
- Investment Committee Processes and Deliverables
- Investment Execution & Funding
- Ongoing Portfolio Management
Your Responsibilities:
- Producing and maintaining up to date sector coverage and other research materials to facilitate the generation of new investment opportunities and analyse sector risks;
- Generating new investment opportunities by proactively identifying and targeting key sector targets and potential borrowers;
- In conjunction with the Investment Directors and Investment Committee, marketing the groups' investment capabilities to prospective borrowing groups, pitching financing solutions as appropriate, to facilitate the delivery of new investment opportunities;
- Evaluating new investment opportunities;
- Reviewing and assessing due diligence materials and reports, provided in connection with transactions to identify and ensure key risks have been identified and considered;
- Preparing and analysing financial models, including running stress test scenarios and sensitivities;
- Working with the internal legal team to instruct lawyers, negotiate transaction documentation;
- All prefunding processes, including but not limited to the review and sign off of all prefunding obligations.
- In conjunction with the Investment Directors, managing a portfolio of investments to ensure no deterioration in the quality of the investment and to deepen relationships with existing clients.
- Ongoing portfolio management activities including but not limited to covenant monitoring, progressive drawdowns, periodic reviews and adhoc review, credit ratings and restructures.
Your Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Commerce or equivalent discipline;
- CPA, CFA or equivalent creditation;
- Strong core technical skills, including excellent credit, financial modeling, written and numerical skills;
- The ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate with team members, contributing to a dynamic working environment;
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a time critical manner;
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Experience in mentoring and training investment analysts in developing investment skills.
