    Are you an ambitious junior lawyer with a passion for professional discipline work, administrative law, insurance defence, personal injuries, defamation and related litigation? This is an excellent career opportunity to grow and progress in a fast-paced but rewarding environment.

    The successful candidates will be provided the direct opportunity to be mentored by an experienced Partner and a senior lawyer whilst working on complex litigation and disputes.

    About the roleReporting into an industry leading Partner and Senior Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

    Researching technical information for current mattersGathering and analysing case facts while identifying legal issues and risksDrafting emails, correspondence and legal documentationProviding general legal assistance to fee earners in the group as requiredPreparing counsel briefings and documents for court hearingsAttending in Courts and TribunalsTo succeed in this role, you will ideally have:2-4 years post admission legal experienceGeneral litigation experience is advantageousAn excellent academic record coupled with strong technical legal skillsA commitment to excellence and delivery of high quality outcomes to our clientsAbility to effectively manage your own time, managing competing tasks and at time working to tight deadlinesStrong drafting skills with specific ability to draft court documents and affidavitsA team player mentality, with a supportive and collaborative working styleA self-motivated and "can-do" attitude with an eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper AldermanAbout UsPiper Alderman is a premier commercial law firm with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne.
