The Maintenance Team Member's role is to ensure the property is kept to a standard which will provide a positive and welcoming experience for clients, workers, and visitors.

The primary focus is to develop and update facilities under direction of the site manager to create a safe, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing environment.

Key responsibilities:

Using a keen eye for detail and a desire for high standards, undertake general maintenance activities which will include small repairs to property, buildings and fixtures as directed by site manager
Always use appropriate personal protection equipment and conduct activities in a safe manner at all times, ensuring others involved in maintenance activity do the same
Keep children safe by always abiding by Salvation Army's child safe policies and code of conduct

Qualifications and skills (desired/required):

Desirable to have experience in a similar role
Must have experience in building maintenance and repairs
Background check requirements:
Background checks play an important part in our commitment to being a safe organisation. Below is what is required for this role.
In some states, this role is considered childrelated and therefore may require a Working with Children Check/Working with Vulnerable People Check
As this role requires access to property and equipment, a Police Check is requiredTime Required & Commitment:

Development opportunities with this role:

This role will give volunteers an opportunity to develop skills and experience in building maintenance and repairs, liaising with other trades, and working with a team to achieve common goals.
