About the role


You will provide clinical nursing expertise for coordinating the management of the Acute Pain Service at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

They will work actively in partnership with the medical, nursing and allied health staff to ensure there is a continuum to ensure safe, patient focussed care in line with the vision and values of Central Adelaide Local Health Networks.

The main focus of this role is the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing and multi-disciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes.


Employees classified at this level are experts within their area and stream of practice and have a significant degree of autonomy and decision making.

Various practice models may be used to enact this role, including but not limited to:

  • Primarily providing nursing care;
  • Providing clinical leadership to nurses;
  • Coordination and leadership of projects and/or programs that contribute clinical expertise to improve patient/client/service outcomes;
  • Direction and support of patient clinical pathways and service provision

Qualifications

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

Essential Requirements:


  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Working with Children Check
