KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Teaching:
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Australian Curriculum.
- Use the Australian Curriculum in an agile way, to create a synthesised learning experience with authentic skillbased connections.
- Design and implement handson, interactive learning experiences.
- Use summative and formative assessment strategies to inform teaching, create a highly differentiated teaching program, and set stretch goals across key learning areas.
- Provide feedback to families in the form of goals and growth.
- Incorporate reflective techniques to monitor and improve performance.
- Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the Child Safe Standards.
- Cultivate a safe, calm and productive learning environment.
- Support healthy relationships through emotional coaching and restorative practice.
Design-based Learning:
- Use knowledge of Australian Curriculum, and knowledge of issues in the world, to create projectbased experiences that connect children to the real world.
- Establish relationships with organisations in the real world, finding opportunities for children to learn from experts and action projects to real audiences.
- Organise outings to connect children to the real world, and to encourage them to develop empathy before designing solutions to problems.
- Use the humancentred design process to explore issues and find solutions to problems.
- Equip children with the knowledge and skills they need to design highquality products and services for real audiences.
- Equip children to communicate effectively with external audiences.

The successful teacher will demonstrate capacity to:

The successful teacher will have the following qualifications:
- Current VIT registration
- Current First Aid training
