  • Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and coworking spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work.   • As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
  • We are searching for an experienced Digital Designer to help lead the design direction and UX strategy for our homepage experience across our platforms (desktop to mobile, web to app). This includes defining and delivering a homepage experience that helps everyone grow and inspires action.

  • Build the best-in-class homepage experiences. You'll work closely with your team, developing Canva's Homepage experience
  • empowering our users to understand the breadth of what Canva can offer as well as easily pick up where they left off. You'll be responsible for leading the end-to-end digital design process from problem definition through to detailed design.

Uplift our homepage experience with beautiful visual design, and motion. You'll deliver an easy-to-navigate in-product homepage experience that inspires and encourages exploration of our product and new features - from elevating users' personal designs to highlighting new features through editorial experiences, and surprise and delight moments of magic and interactivity.

Vision and strategy. You'll work closely with your triad and team to define and articulate the product strategy and vision for the homepage.

Research. You'll deeply understand competitors, trends, patterns, best practices, UX and visual design inspiration, and user and business insights.

Collaborate. You'll collaborate and build relationships with teams both within and outside of the Collaboration group. You'll work closely with your triad, team and group leadership, to create a well-rounded and consistent collaboration experience across all touch points.

Iterate. You'll gather findings to iterate through the use of research and data—we have a close relationship with our users which enables us to unearth valuable insights to improve their experience.

Prioritise. You'll collaborate with your triad to ensure your team always prioritises the most valuable features.


You're Probably a Match if:

-
You have 3+ years of experience and a portfolio that demonstrates experience in designing digital experiences (e.g. websites, landing pages, lifecycle etc), with an understanding of end-to-end user-centric design processes and how to drive engagement

You deliver value to customers. You are an empathetic user advocate that values the backing of research and data analysis when it comes to designing solutions.

You excel in Visual Design and UI Design. You have a keen eye for art direction and can implement it with attention to detail through visual and UI detailed designs, that align to brand and design systems.

It's a plus if you love to bring your designs to life through motion and interactions. You have some motion design experience in the past, with the ability to tell a story - be it prototyping or vector animation

You appreciate big-picture thinking. Understanding can influence the vision, strategy and art direction of experiences, and know how your work fits into the greater whole.

You have excellent visual communication skills. You enjoy communicating ideas and information that visually inspire, influence and tell a compelling story.

You thrive in a cross-functional, collaborative environment partnering with other designers, engineers, product managers and other specialties throughout the company. You can unpack business and user requirements and can design pragmatically to make trade-offs where required.

Strong stakeholder Management. You have experience dealing with broad stakeholder groups and know when to bring the right people together to achieve common goals.
