VIC Local Council in the search for a highly capable individual to join as a
Multiskilled Officer - Cleansing And Roads located in
Keilor Park, VIC.

What's in it for you:

2month assignment

- $33.65 per hour + super

Based in Keilor Park, VIC

About the role:

As a member of the Roads & Cleansing Services Unit, the Road Maintenance (Multi Skilled) Officer is required to carry out maintenance of sealed and unsealed roads, drains, signs and bridges.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Competently carry out the maintenance, construction and repair of assets to Council standards and specifications, in accordance with all safety and technical requirements for the tasks, including, but not limited to:
Asphalt Works (pothole patching, edge breaks, minor surface treatments, major patching, crack sealing etc.);
Concrete works (paths, kerb and channel, drainage pits and pipes etc.);
Drainage Maintenance (cleaning, construction and maintenance of pits and pipes etc.);
Unsealed roads maintenance;
Bridge and signage maintenance, and
Weed removal and poisoning.
Conduct prestart checks on all plant and equipment prior to commencing work.
Ensure plant and equipment, including tool boxes, are locked and secured at the end of the working day and keys are returned to designated location.
Report any damage or malfunction of plant to your Supervisor immediately.

Qualifications and Experience:

Undertake and maintain a current National Criminal Records Check
Experience operating Mechanical street Sweeper, Footpath sweepers and litter collection vehicles
Medium Rigid truck licence. Heavy Rigid desirable
Traffic Control & Worksite Traffic Management skills & qualifications.
OH&S Induction Card (Red card or equivalent)
