About the role
You will work with the Regulatory and Finance Manager, using the outcomes of the economic and financial modelling, to provide:

  • quantitative insights and advice to support the company's policy and reform agenda
- economic input and drafting to submissions to our economic regulator within the required, often tight, timeframes.

Other responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintain our financial and models.
  • Ensure IPART and Sydney Water are aligned on the financial implications for Sydney Water of changes to the regulatory framework.
  • Coordinate and collect data to ensure Sydney Water meets its information disclosure obligations.
  • Conduct ongoing research on the form of regulation, effectsbased environmental regulatory regimes, incentivebased mechanisms for opex and capex, optimal price structures, the cost of capital, depreciation, financeability, and third party access arrangements.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Business, or Finance, or other related discipline
  • A minimum of ten years of experience working in a quantitative analysis role
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and undertake economic and financial modelling analysis and propose effective solutions
  • Outstanding communication and analytical skills
  • At ease working within an uncertain and changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain constructive internal and external stakeholder relationships
