Reporting to the Head of Product - Digital Technology, you will Lead the Web and Cloud Practice to ensure alignment across the team, implement best practices, principles and guidelines for the team to follow and keep abreast of emerging technologies and innovations.


Key priorities:

  • Definition and communication of best practices and guidelines that the digital team must follow during implementation and delivery of all digital products
  • Guide and mentor, the development team, 5 to 10 cloud and web developers, provide support and assistance, advising about methodologies, dev ops and best practices
  • Supervise the delivery of Solution design of new digital capabilities, including consultation with other relevant teams, such as Architecture, integration, or Data Analytics
  • Research, Proof of Concept and implementation of new technologies applicable to The Digital Star's operating environment for adoption including cloud services such as AWS, Azure
  • Definition and guidance of the Software development and DevOps cycles, ensuring highquality products are delivered by the team

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Verifiable experience in software development
  • Deep Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Proven record delivering on high profile / highly scaled enterprise level solutions
  • Demonstrable experience working within a quality oriented / TDD / testfirst approach to software development.
  • Deep technical expertise on Mobile and Web Technologies
  • Strong experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, DevOps, automation
