About the Role:

Tradewind are working with a Secondary school oriented in Taylor's Lakes, situated in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, offering a part-time 7-10 Japanese position starting in Term 2.

Key duties:

Develop ageappropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align the Victorian Curriculum for Japanese LOTE at a Secondary level
Deliver effective and interactive Japanese language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
Introduce aspects of the Japanese culture into lessons through ageappropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
Design assessments to evaluate their language acquisition and provide constructive feedback to students
Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate the Japanese language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.

Skills & Experience:

Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
Maintain a valid and uptodate VIT registration
Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
Demonstrate previous experience in Japanese LOTE, highly valued
Ability to provide contact details for two educationbased references from within the last 5 years (studentteacher mentors are acceptable).

Offering:

Commencing as a part time position starting in Week 2, Term 2, 202
Instructing year 710 students
Engaging with transparent leadership and other LOTE faculty teachers
Work collaboratively with other staff to plan and prepare
Salary commensurate with demonstrated expertise and time commitment
