The Team


The Enterprise Digital Delivery Branch delivers Information, Communication and Technology services to the AEC and is divided into three sections: IT Solutions, ICT Testing and Assurance and IT Integration.

ICT services are delivered through a select sourcing model, with a mixture of in-house and outsourced resources.


The EDD Branch is committed to building the agency's information technology capability by providing resilient, modern and secure systems informed by data and insights, and to upskill teams to develop innovative new products and services.

The Opportunity


The Test Analyst role is to actively develop, test, execute, and report the delivery of ongoing regression testing and functional testing aligned to the Agile Scrum and Sprint delivery processes and review and analyse software requirements.

Undertaking testing activities including functional, integration and regression testing for each release cycle.


You will be working within BAU test and development teams to understand the scope of product releases and work with the team to develop acceptance criteria based on business objectives, functional requirements, and service level requirements.

Development and maintenance of test plans, test scenarios and/or test cases with a high level of attention to detail. Reporting and tracking the resolution of issues and defects as they are found in testing.


This role will assist with defect triaging and remediation, while supporting the BAU Test team to ensure timely delivery of project objectives and timeframes.

You will support the Elections Branch staff with production support on relevant systems and maintain an awareness of the organisation and keeps self and others well informed on issues that may affect work progress.


To excel you'll have:

  • Proven experience in software testing, including test case design, execution, and reporting. and Solid understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Communication skills to be part of a positive team culture and ability to engage and collaborate internally with other key IT areas, project teams, business areas and external service providers.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and interpretive skills with high level of attention to details and ability to work independently and be a selfmotivated individual and takes personal responsibility to manage workloads and priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Additional responsibilities during an Electoral Event

  • Perform support functions outside of standard bandwidth hours as directed.
