Wagners are currently seeking a suitably qualified Permanent Full-Time Maintenance Fitter who has a strong, personal commitment to safety and is willing to expand on their current skills.


  • Our Maintenance Fitter is primarily responsible for undertaking the general maintenance and servicing of the Pinkenba Cement Plant as well as the following:
  • Horizontal Ball Mill
  • Vertical Roller Mill
  • Belt and Screw conveyors
  • Storage Silos
  • Bagging Shed
  • Dust Collectors
  • Oxy cutting and welding of materials
  • Assembly and modification of plant and equipment
  • Diagnose and rectification of mechanical faults
  • Implementation and continuous improvement of safety initiatives

To be considered you must possess the following:

  • A strong safe work ethic
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualifications in Fitting & Turning/Mechanical Fitter/Fitter Welder
  • Experience with computerised maintenance systems
  • Experience working within an engineering fabrication environment
  • Possess flexibility, adaptability and versatility of approach to handle changing work requirements
  • Ability to establish and manage working relationships with Directors, Senior Management Team and Wagner employees
