FULL TIME ASSISTANT DIRECTOR(Nominated supervisor/Educational Leader) to lead our 2-5 yrs room.


We are seeking a bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher or experienced Diploma qualified team member, for the position of Assistant Director/Nominated Supervisor ASAP.

The Service is boutique 25-place centre.


Position Objectives
The Nominated Supervisor will be assisting the Approved Provider for the overall operation, management and administration of the Service, ensuring that:

  • Manage the day to day operations of the centre in line with company policies, procedures and targets
  • Undertake a Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader role
  • Develop a positive and engaging community presence
  • Provide leadership, support and guidance to staff and students as needed
  • Develop a positive, cohesive work environment for all staff
  • Manage rosters & attendance
  • Induct and support new team members
  • Implement initiatives to encourage increased occupancy rate
  • Ensure centre is compliant with all Centre policies, State Legislation and National Quality Standards
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are always maintained in line with Company standards
  • To ensure Quality Program are provided to children

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Highly developed pedagogical leadership skills
  • Highly developed program and curriculum planning and evaluation skills, with a sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Sound observation and reporting skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to interact with children in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner
  • Ability to assist families in a sensitive supportive and professional manner
  • Ability to develop and implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to cope effectively in an emergency or stressful situation
  • Sound knowledge of relevant state and federal government legal compliance requirements relating to childcare
  • Sound knowledge of Quality Assurance

Essential Criteria

  • An ACECQA recognised qualification
  • Early childhood Teachers Degree, or Diploma in Children's services.
  • 5+years' experience working in childcare service/s
  • Current working with children check
  • Child Protection
  • Ability to work shifts between 7:00am 6pm Monday to Friday
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Police check
  • Anaphylaxis qualification

Salary:
$ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

  • Richmond, NSW 2753: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
