Your new role


Leading a diverse team of Learning professionals, the Learning Design & Delivery Manager is responsible for the development and execution of programs of work that support an uplift in the capability of colleagues at AustralianSuper.

This includes the development of strategies and work plans to address the needs of the Fund relating to core learning and colleague professional development.


This role will support and manage the consultants within the team to deliver learning across Australia, along with delivering leadership programs, which may include coaching and 360 debriefs.

Key responsibilities and duties include.

  • Manage the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning across the Fund, including professional development and leadership development.
  • Provide people leadership, coaching and support to a team of high performing professionals.
  • Manage the reporting of delivered learning and provides recommendations on relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of the team and learning strategies.
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Learning & Professional Development and Professional Development Lead to develop strategies, frameworks and plans that help the Fund build professional capability through a professional development program.
  • Work with the relevant members of the Talent Management, Mobility & Leadership team to manage the delivery of the leadership development program.
  • Oversee the facilitation of all learning programs, ensuring there is consistency of design and delivery across the team.

Note:this role facilitates information sessions and leadership programs. In addition to program facilitation, when required, the role may facilitate 360 debriefs and coaching.

  • Maintain and update learning and development standards and guidelines to ensure consistency of documentation and processes across the team.
  • Manage vendors from procurement through to vendor effectiveness as it relates to the delivery of services within the portfolio.
  • Negotiate and establish all aspects of contract terms to ensure the Fund's exposure to risk is minimised and that all dealings are in line with our commercial frameworks.
  • Work closely with senior leaders across the Fund and colleagues in the Colleagues & Culture domain to ensure ongoing transparency and alignment.

What you'll need

  • People leadership experience, including the development of strategies and work plans.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating learning programs.
  • Ability to align development initiatives with organisational goals, objectives, and priorities.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills and ability to engage audiences.
  • Strong project management capability with proven experience in project governance
  • Expertise in the use of a large LMS, such as Oracle, to monitor and manage learning content.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and communication skills.
