Primary Purpose:

Promote an emergency risk management culture within ZEMCs.
Lead and coordinate a full cycle of emergency risk management using the National Emergency Risk Assessment Guidelines (NERAG).
Facilitate effective communication and consultation processes with key stakeholders and build and maintain relationships to ensure collaboration and commitment to mitigation outcomes.
Provide leadership, advice and support to ZEMCs.
Assess and address knowledge gaps particularly consequence management of emerging and structural risks of ZEMC members.
Provide reports on progress to the Manager Emergency Management & Hazard Planning and to the Executive of the ZEMC.
