Are you an experienced maintenance technician looking for an exciting opportunity with the only producer of RSPCA approved salmon? At Huon we strive to be the best, and that's exactly who we're looking for to fulfill the role of Maintenance Technician.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This exciting opportunity will see you servicing and maintaining plant and equipment within the factory, ensuring it is performed to company and statutory standards

Your responsibilities include:

Liaising with the Factory Manager and Production Supervisors to ensure maintenance objections are in conjunction with operational policies.
Identifying requirements for the preventative maintenance of equipment, minimising the impact of breakdown and disruption to business due to unforeseen failures.
Ensuring all hazards and sources of loss associated with specific work areas are identified, evaluated, and controlled in accordance with policies to achieve the highest possible safety and environmental standards.
Assisting with the implementation of improvement programmes to address non compliances.
Liaising with external contractors and site personnel to ensure efficiency and continuity of work activities safely.
Capturing all maintenance activities in MEX system and ensuring all QA paperwork is provided as required.

Operating on a full-time basis Monday to Friday, this role is primarily based at our Ingleburn Processing Factory.

ABOUT YOU

You hold relevant qualifications and experience in maintenance of machinery or equipment.
You hold a current and valid driver's licence.
You have sound knowledge of the requirements for preventative maintenance of site equipment and systems.
You are an excellent communicator with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
You have demonstrated the ability to adapt, deal with uncertainty and remain calm in a changing environment.
You maintain a genuine focus on safety and wellbeing.
You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive focus on continually looking to improve processes.
