POSITION FUNCTION:


In accordance with the Company Vision, Mission, Values and Management Disciplines, carry out planning, installation, configuration and testing of Hitachi Rail System equipment forming part of the projects under the responsibility of the Commissioning department.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Project Work

Perform project work including:

  • Assure the correct allocation of skilled resources to the lab activities to align with the timely delivery of Lab Integration and Validation results prior to testing on site
  • Assisting Manager of Commissioning
  • APAC in developing documentation and strategies to support lab testing activities throughout APAC
  • Ensure the correct interface management with the Client, Engineering, Commissioning Managers and third parties during the lab integration activities
  • Testing and Commissioning

Support lab testing duties, including:

  • Ensuring the execution of lab testing activities are in accordance with the program;
  • Liaising with the Project Engineers, Validation leads and Commissioning Managers to ensure lab testing activities are performed prior to site activities commencing;
  • Support lab teams throughout APAC in establishing best practice approach to testing in lab environments
  • Reporting

Provide progress reports as required by:

  • Establishing consistent reporting models for lab activities;
  • Support the preparation of Dashboards that will display progress for appropriate activities
  • Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the development of the culture of continuous improvement

  • Occupational Health and Safety
Ensure all activities undertaken in the Company are conducted with due regard to a high level of safety including:

  • Ensuring all activities undertaken comply with applicable OH&S laws;
  • Ensuring all activities comply with Company OH&S policies and procedures;
  • Ensuring all safety incidents are reported and followed up using Company OH&S procedures.

AUTHORITY:
In accordance with the Delegation Matrix.


EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

Trade qualification or equivalent (eg IRSE licences) is essential.


EXPERIENCE:

years experience in a similar role within the rail industry - essential.
