The Opportunity:


NCC Group have identified an opportunity to build out a new and exciting sales team based in Sydney to help us deliver our Software Resilience services to both existing and new customers.

The desire is to significantly grow that team to take advantage of the expanding market opportunity in Australia and eventually the wider Asia Pacific region.


Escrow services and Software Resilience solutions are a complex sale which requires analysis and balancing of business needs of at least three parties on each transaction, that frequently involves external legal counsel representation and development of an appropriate solution.

The Business Development Manager will drive new revenue through net-new and existing customers, with an initial focus on the Financial Services sector which can be expanded to other targeted industry sectors based on an agreed target customer profile.


The Role Purpose:

The Challenge:

  • Create, develop, organise, selfdirect all sales activities for prospective, lapsed and established customers.
  • Deliver solutions to our larger customers working in partnership in order to identify opportunities to grow revenues this will include senior business contacts at C-Suite Level with onsite visits as required.
  • Attend events to promote and educate market on Software Resilience services, network with key stakeholders and prospects.
  • Uncover new business opportunity to create pipeline, qualify opportunities, close business, supporting revenue growth for NCC Group.
  • Progress and close opportunity generated through marketing leads and SDR activity.
  • Develop account plans to ensure revenue growth within your account base to maximise opportunities. To be presented to Sales Management team on an agreed basis.
  • Achieve defined set targets and KPI's and proactively report accurate revenue forecasts to your line manager.
  • Collaborate with internal teams based in UK where needed, such as Technical Delivery, Contracts, Legal and Finance to ensure we provide excellent service to our clients.
  • Utilise our marketing resources to enhance engagement with your Accounts.
  • Work closely with the Sales Development Representatives to help tailor and generate customer centric engagement.

Key Competencies:

Must-haves:

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets. Experience must be in selling complex solutions to Australian market.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, fostering client relationships, and driving business growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Capability of gaining an understanding of a client's business strategy and articulating value propositions aligned to their needs.
  • Expertise in sales forecasting and account planning.
  • Enthusiastic selfmotivator.
  • Effective team player.


  • IT literate

  • CRM, Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Strong business acumen ability to uncover the business issues that organisations face and articulate how NCC value propositions can address these challenges.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the technology, software, and cloud industry.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Financial Services industry and regulations.
  • Knowledge of business continuity planning, risk mitigation and disaster recovery.
  • Knowledge of software procurement or sales processes.
  • Prior experience utilising Customer Relationship Management tools.
  • Experience in a recognised sales training/methodology discipline for account planning and sales cycle management.
  • Proficient in using LinkedIn as a method of engaging with existing and prospective customers within your base.
