  • We're looking for an IT Project Manager to join our Information Technology team. The IT Project Manager is a key leadership role responsible for effective oversight and management of all IT Projects successful management/delivery of significant and competing Projects of work.

A typical day will have you:

  • Support IT Teams in managing and developing IT projects adapting relevant methodology for best fit (eg IT Projects / Agile / Six Sigma / Waterfall).
  • Support the the development and standardization of projects and project management process
  • Lead the continual improvement initiative for IT project and project methodology
  • Provide a consolidated view of all projects through coordination, managing and reporting on the series of projects across functions (for example IT Strategic Project, multiple projects, dynamic supply and demand), using contemporary presentational artefacts
  • Plan and schedule resources efficiently through coordination of management of project and proactively support demand and resource planning across service functions
  • Support IT strategic portfolio management and provide governance, guidance and advice for the development of Project Definition Statements (PDS), business cases and project plans
  • Evaluate and build enterprise change capability and define success metrics to monitor and evaluate successful change resulting from projects and projects delivered
  • Build relationships, coach and provide guidance to key stakeholders
  • Provide input and support the communications strategy and plans
  • Build a continuous improvement culture and mindset across IT Project and project management

We're looking for someone with:


  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Information Technology or relevant studies
  • Extensive experience in Project Management, particularly in Business Information Systems, and/or Digital Transformations, in Agile, and Waterfall methodologies, understanding of Six Sigma for IT highly desirable
  • Experience within a IT Project Management Office and utilising project management approaches and tools
  • Experience/understanding of multidisciplinary IT Project and Project Management approaches and their integration into general Projects (eg IT Agile, Technology Infrastructure, waterfall)
  • Deep understanding of the project lifecycle and phases, including evaluating success
  • A solid understanding of how people are successfully led through changes arising from projects, including evaluating success
  • Exceptional communication skills, including active listening and the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Good business acumen and understanding of contemporary organisational issues and challenges
