About the NSW Reconstruction Authority
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within the Planning & Environment cluster. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and make sure that communities across the state recover from them faster.
The Authority will complete critical planning and preparation to reduce the severity and impacts of disasters and will start recovery swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts when disasters occur.
About the role
This is essentially an IT project management role as such you will be responsible to deliver both product enhancements to existing products in BAU and new IT products. Specifically, you will be required to manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development, and implementation for a range of projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, managing budgets, meeting reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope in line with the mandated project management methodology.
Manage a project team, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key project/s milestones and outcomes.
Additionally, you will be required to provide technical IT advice to the business product owners, providing insights on the feasibility, functionality, and technical requirements of proposed IT solutions. This could involve evaluating different technologies, assessing their compatibility with existing systems, and offering recommendations based on your expertise.
This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, project management expertise, and interpersonal skills to successfully navigate the complexities of IT projects within a business environment.
