Life Saving Victoria is continuing in its purpose to save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water by recruiting two new mangers to the lifesaving services team.


Reporting to the General Manager - Lifesaving Services these roles will ensure LSV continues to operate and provide critical services across defined areas; utilising local expertise to develop effective and impactful water safety strategies.


By tailoring their outputs to the needs of local clubs, land managers, environments and communities, they will provide impactful outcomes for our communities and stakeholders.

With regular days at regional offices, clubs and/or other emergency service locations, the two roles will be based out of:

  • Geelong, servicing western Victoria
  • Port Melbourne, servicing central Victoria
These are fulltime, permanent positions, with some flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.

LSV is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation with a purpose to save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.


As a recognised agency of Emergency Management Victoria, LSV provides emergency response services across the state through its vast network of lifesaving clubs, lifeguards, marine and aerial rescue services.

This includes supporting our other emergency services partners through our broad yet highly skilled membership wherever possible.


Since the early 1900s, life saving clubs have been an integral part of Australia's coastal and inland waterways, with volunteers providing education and training in lifesaving activities, as well as lifesaving services between the iconic red and yellow flags at patrolled locations.

Life saving clubs harness the support of local communities, and use a network of services including helicopters, inflatable rescue boats, offshore rescue boats and rescue watercraft to ensure the safety of our waterway user.

Key selection criteria;

This role will require on-call availability and involve shift or out of hours work on weekends and evenings as required, as well as intra
- and interstate travel.
