We are seeking an experienced commercial manager to join our team, who can be based in either Braeside, VIC or Lawnton, QLD.

About the role:

Keller Australia is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. This unique role can be based in either Brisbane or Melbourne.

As a commercial manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our projects by overseeing all commercial aspects, including budgeting, contract negotiation, and client relations.

The commercial manager will be a key member of the team and is required to assess and control contractual risk and entitlement whilst providing contract management support to various project teams.


You will be responsible for:


  • Review and assess contracts to preserve company rights and entitlements.
  • Establish systems and registers to ensure timely recognition, submission and certification of claims in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Represent Keller during tender negotiation and resolve departures by negotiation.
  • Provide guidance to the project team on contract adherence, change management and record keeping.
  • Guide the dispute resolution process for any disputes that may arise during project execution.
  • Work collaboratively with the commercial team to continuously identify opportunities to innovate and improve current commercial practices.

About you:


To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • University degree in law, engineering, quantity surveying or construction management.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in administration of large ITC contracts.
  • Proven experience in analysis and negotiation of contractual risk and entitlement.
  • Demonstrable experience and success in resultsoriented dispute resolution.
  • A good understanding of construction contract law in Australia and Australian standard forms of contract.
  • Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and clear, definitive communication.
