**Manager - Financial Crime Compliance Advisory

The Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing governance of the group's financial crime compliance services.

You will be part of the wider Financial Crime team which is driving the Group's approach to managing AML / CTF, Sanctions and Anti-Bribery and Corruption risks and obligations through the provision of policies, frameworks, regulatory engagement, advice, assurance and complex escalations for the Group Operations & Technology business unit.

We are seeking the expertise of a Manager, Financial Crime Compliance to be to join our Risk Management team, supporting the Group Operations and Technology teams.


Your role will be to provide services to support the Group in the effective and efficient management of financial crime.

This will mean working closely with, stakeholders, colleagues to provide financial crime related advice on projects, transactions, products and relationships.

You will be required to forge strong relationships with business stakeholders in the Business Units and Operations team members to drive outcomes.


On any given day you will

  • Assist in the execution of the Financial Crime Compliance program of work.
  • Assist the Group to proactively identify, manage, and mitigate the financial crime risks within Group Operations and Technology Functions.
  • Providing quality advice on financial crime matters to the Group Operations and Technology teams and participate in relevant risk assessments and forums.
  • Assist the business and Group support functions to develop and execute appropriate Risk action plans to address identified issues relating to financial crime.
  • Assist the business to develop controls (including procedures and training) to enable compliance with the Group's financial crime policy framework.
  • Provide MIS and reporting documentation to FCC Management
  • Develop and provide training on new and existing Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing topologies.
  • Work collaboratively with other FCC advisory and Program of Action teams and provide relevant support and advice.
  • Assist with the creation, updating and delivery of Group policies, standards and guidance documents

We're interested in hearing from people who haveDemonstrated experience in a compliance and AML/CTF role ideally within Banking and Financial Services

  • Sound understanding of the financial crime regulatory framework with technical knowledge of AML / CTF, Sanctions and ABC
  • Strong financial crime advisory experience
  • Strong understanding of financial crime operations investigations and reporting processes
  • Project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to build quality management reporting
  • Strong decision making skills with the ability to solve complex issues
  • Action tasks and initiatives with a sense of urgency and demonstrate pride in the quality of work
  • Proven experience leading workshops and training sessions
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills
