We are seeking a Design Manager to lead design on major Defence infrastructure.
You will work closely with our Digital Solutions cohort to bring a unique and powerful combination of proven cuttingedge, innovative products to create intuitive enduser experiences that harness the power of data intelligence to supercharge delivery of outcomes.

You will share our commitment to harnessing new and emerging technologies to think beyond conventional disciplinary boundaries, driving realistic and futureproof design solutions. You will have a proven track record of delivering as part of a multidisciplinary design and will be motivated, qualified and have previous experience either with Defence Capital Facilities and Infrastructure, Managing Contractors or a Defence Prime.
This role will see you:
Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of projects and development and execution of project plans and programming
Accountable for defining project scope and developing project budgets and managing cost plans
Coordinate and chair project design meetings
Deliver fit for purpose technical solutions as agreed with the client
Monitor project performance to ensure technical deliverables are in line with Defence milestone expectations
Ensure deliverables are in line with the brief and relevant project/stakeholder/statutory requirements
Identify design risks and mitigation strategies
Provide strategic advice and leadership to inform ongoing value management to drive cost efficiencies

What can you bring to the team?

You will have excellent communications skills, with a strong and relevant network of connections in the market. Connections to Defence industries will be viewed as an advantage.
You will also bring the following to our team:

Professional qualifications relevant to design management, architectural and engineering
Relevant chartership and registration as required by the State in which you are based;
Recent Defence project experience in either PMCA, Managing Contractor or a Defence Prime
Knowledge of both Defence and Australian design standards with an understanding of multidisciplinary requirements of Defence projects in feasibility, preliminary and detailed design
Australian citizenship and holding, or be able to successfully obtain, and retain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance
