    About the Role


SEE Group have a great career opportunity available for a Site Supervisor to join our highly professional and skilled Urban Development team.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will take ownership of a project, managing the day-to-day on-site activities to deliver effective and cost-efficient project outcomes.

This is a full-time role based initially on a project in the Ipswich region.
Responsibilities will include

  • Responsible and accountable for the completion of assigned site works in accordance with the construction program, including any adjustments as they arise.
  • Responsible for compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for the direction of employees, subcontractors, plant and equipment required for the assigned site works.
  • Provide advice and assistance to project staff in relation to any technical and/or complex problems that may arise during the project.
  • Monitor subcontractors on a continual basis with a view to ensuring productivity and compliance with HSEQ requirements.
  • Attend and/or conduct regular and ongoing meetings with field staff to remain informed of project work and construction program.
  • Work closely with the project team on costing changes to the project scope and/or pricing of variations to ensure the project meets financial goals.
  • Regularly review operations to identify areas of improvement and opportunity to reduce costs whilst still meeting service and delivery requirements.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Background in Plant Operation, Construction and Delivery processes and experience in actual project delivery
  • Read, interpret and quantify project plans, standards and specifications effectively and communicate this information to the site supervisors as required
  • Highly effective planning, organising and problemsolving skills together with the ability to indirectly lead, motivate and influence others is considered critical
  • Proven management skills, practices and planning ability
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
