The Role


Canon is currently seeking a TM1 and Financial Reporting Analyst for an 18-month contract role to provide critical support on two key workstreams.

These work streams are part of the ERP Implementation project (Project Mercury) which will see Microsoft Dynamics 365 rolled out across Canon Entities in Australia, New Zealand & the Philippines.

You'll be involved in two workstreams, namely the Rebuild of TM1 Budgeting and Reporting Solution (75%) and the Rebuild of Microsoft Power BI Reporting Solution (25%)


Scope of the role includes:

  • Partnering closely with the TM1 and Reporting Specialist, the Financial Systems team and current TM1 users, responsible for completion of key deliverables as part of this TM1 rebuild project that will deliver the new TM1 Budgeting and Reporting solution including;
  • Documentation of users Financial Analysis and Reporting requirements to be met by the rebuilt TM1 Budgeting and Reporting solution
  • Obtaining a strong understanding of users' current analysis and reporting models within TM
  • Providing input to the TM1 Budgeting and Reporting solution design process
  • Performing initial testing of TM1 Budgeting and Reporting solution
  • Managing user testing (UAT) of TM1 Budgeting and Reporting solution
  • Participating in training of users in new version of TM1 Planning Analytics
  • Providing support to TM1 users as they rebuild Budget templates and Financial reports from TM
  • Partnering closely with the TM1 and Reporting Specialist, the Financial Systems team, the Senior BI Development Lead, the OFS team members and the Project Mercury team, including;
  • Coordinating the collection of Reporting Requirements
  • Coordinating the production of functional specification documents for each report
  • Leading the Solution Design for each report
  • Leading the Build process for each report.
  • Leading Testing for each report.

About You


As an experienced finance professional with at least 5 years CA/CPA post qualified experience you bring an excellent knowledge of Financial Budgeting and Reporting concepts coupled with Advanced level knowledge of TM1 Perspectives/TM1 Planning Analytics to the role.

You know your way around Power BI and you have proven problem solving ability. Your experience in the writing of Power BI Reports would be highly regarded. You are highly organised and you know how to add value to complex projects across multi locations.

You possess extensive experience in working with a wide variety of senior stakeholders and you are a confident communicator with well-honed presentation skills.

Ideally you have Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics 365 but more importantly you're a team player with a passion for TM1 and Power BI who thrives on delivering great project outcomes.
