Are you a seasoned professional in the world of ICT procurement and sourcing? Do you have a knack for managing intricate supplier relationships while ensuring efficient processes and maintaining strong governance?


A leading Qld Government department are seeking an ICT Procurement Sourcing Specialist to join their team and play a pivotal role in the success of the procurement operations.

In this role, you will be required to collaborate with key stakeholders, showcase your expertise in procurement, and contribute to a culture of customer-first excellence.


Responsibilities:


  • Engage with crossfunctional teams to develop procurement plans and strategies for project requirements.
  • Provide valuable advice on sourcing approaches and RFx templates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the creation of official procurement files and records.
  • Ensure specifications align with quality sourcing and contracts.
  • Prepare contracts using corporate templates and develop evaluation strategies.
  • Guide negotiations during sourcing processes, ensuring the best outcomes.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of procurement processes for accountability and audits.
  • Handle correspondence and prepare various documents related to sourcing processes.
  • Offer support and advice to stakeholders for issue resolution escalation with vendors.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in ICT procurement and contracting.
  • Proficiency in contract drafting and administration using the Queensland QITC framework.
  • Experience in working within ICT projects and service delivery environments, with an understanding of related supply arrangements.
  • Proven ability to manage RFx processes efficiently and in line with organizational standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to influence, consult, and negotiate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong decisionmaking skills under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to provide accurate and quality work.
  • Commercial awareness to seek favorable outcomes for the organization.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize competing demands and meet service standards.
  • Proficiency in manipulating numerical data using spreadsheets.
  • A customerfocused attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team.
