About the team


SprayLine Road Services is an internal delivery team within the Department of Transport and Planning providing road maintenance services, construction and associated civil works, bituminous spray sealing and line marking to DTP, other state road authorities, municipal councils, and private industry.

SprayLine Road Services delivers services locally within the communities and are committed to ensuring quality, innovative and sustainable outcomes.


About the Role


The Team Leader position is accountable for working collaboratively with industry partners and leading a team of experts who plan and monitor the performance of work packages that maintain road & roadside infrastructure and the environment across regional Victoria.

These work packages keep roads safe and serviceable.


Key Outcomes

  • Delivery of Work Packages
  • Develop work packages to meet road serviceability requirements in accordance with the Road Management Act and DTP's Road Management Plan.
  • Minimised Impact on Road Users Effectively utilised available resources and planned work packages as part of a coordinated program to minimise impact on road users.
  • Stakeholder Management Developed effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that all available information and expertise is applied to the development and execution of work packages.
  • Work Package Assurance Provided assurance that executed work packages meet client requirements by ensuring adherence to the administration of the DoT Road Management Plan requirements.


  • Effective People Leadership

  • The incumbent has provided effective leadership, people management and support to their team. Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required.

Qualifications And Experience
Mandatory

  • Experience in the industry, as relevant to the capabilities of the role
Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant or a related discipline
  • Road Maintenance Experience

Role specific requirements

  • Driver's License
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work across locations within metropolitan and regional Victoria.
