- Maintain all aspects of a vehicle to relevant transport legislation and standards
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance services.
- Action all driver daily vehicle reports (DVR) and file as required.
- Perform fault diagnostics to detect mechanical and electrical faults
- Test drive and/or operate equipment to ensure repair has been completed correctly.
- Ensure all equipment is safe to use and stored correctly
- Certificate III Automotive-Mechanical-Heavy Vehicle Road Transport
- Heavy Rigid license (as a minimum)
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- A strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining heavy vehicles
- Experience as a Diesel Mechanic with a focus on training and mentoring
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and related systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of the job
- Willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test
