Due to growth and expansion in our Lake Macquarie and Newcastle region, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) Facilitator to join our team.

As an innovator, problem solver, and self-starter, you will successfully design and deliver a SLES program that sees participants build the skills, qualifications, experience, and independence to help them achieve their vocational and life goals.


You will collaborate with community organisations, prospective employers, registered training organisations and other stakeholders to identify and create opportunities for young people with disability to develop their life and work skills.

You will deliver a high-quality service in line with relevant legislative and compliance frameworks, with role responsibilities that include:


  • Identify and engage with potential new entrants to SLES.
  • Complete risk assessments and discuss suitability of new participants and service offerings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Organise work experience and job opportunities that align with participant needs and employment goals.
  • Design and deliver personcentred employment programs.
  • Develop individualised job and action plans.

Your success in the role will be reliant upon:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with participants, community agencies and other professionals.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer systems and software programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • A customer centric mindset and approach to work.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment both independently and as part of a team.
  • Sound knowledge of NDIS and/or experience in employment services or similar industry is highly favourable.
  • Flexibility to work across the week and on weekends as required.


To be successful in the role, you will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC), NDIS Worker Screening Check, and evidence of two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination prior to commencement.

You will also be required to have a current Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
